Fungo
Fungo
The result of Massimo Vignelli’s extensive experimentation with glass, this lamp exemplifies his timeless and understated elegance. In 1956, it received a special mention at the prestigious Compasso d’Oro awards, recognising its contribution to industrial design.
Defined by its delicate vertical lines, the piece reinterprets Carlo Scarpa’s Tessuti vases through a contemporary lens. The lamp is crafted from a single glass element using the traditional “Tessuto” technique, combining grey and milk-white canne to create a subtle, textured rhythm.
A white-painted metal socket completes the composition, maintaining a clean and harmonious aesthetic.
